Ben Amics, Association of Lesbian, Gay, Transexual and Bisexual in the Balearic Islands is a nonprofit association established since 1991 and legally registered in 1994 to combat the situation of social marginalization suffered by homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals. We are a group of people working to achieve full equality and respect for the society to the affective-sexual diversity.
Our objectives are:
- denounces homophobia, defending the social and legal equality to homosexuality and the end of all discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity in all areas: social, educational, media, labor ... in our society and elsewhere in the world.
- Health promotion and prevention of the AIDS virus and other sexually transmitted infections in our area. Fight against discrimination toward people living with HIV.
- services, cultural initiatives, recreational, training ... everything from the promotion of solidarity and volunteerism. We want to create meeting places for gay, lesbian, transsexual and bisexual individuals. To achieve these objectives Ben Amics performs different activities, such as LGBT Pride, safer sex workshops, talks on emotional-sexual diversity, distribution of information, cultural visits, excursions, cinema, condom distribution, reporting to the press situations of homophobia.

The work done in the partnership is structured according to four areas:
- Educational area, Lesbian area, Health area, Social area.
Working groups and committees:
The working groups and committees of the association are twofold: they are spaces of work, organization and activities, and meeting points for people who share similar concerns. Today, in Ben Amics are the following:
- Youth Group
- Christian Group
- Organizing Committee of the LGBT Pride events

ILGA(International Lesbian & Gai Association)
The International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex is a worldwide federation of national and local groups dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) worldwide. ILGA is to this day the only non-governmental federation community non-profit dedicated to install the problem of sex discrimination as a global issue.
FELGTB (State Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals).
State Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals has been the most important of associations gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual in the Spanish State. By history, track record, by structure, by number of member associations, for their contributions over the years to make this possible. First, a space for coordination and exchange for the LGBT association movement. More than 40 associations of all kinds, large and small cities, almost all the autonomous communities, students, youth, athletes, lesbian, gay, transsexual, bisexual ... are sharing resources and activities.
CJIB (Consell de Joventut de les Illes Balears)
The Consell de Joventut de les Illes Balears is a public law entity with personality to which it relates, between others, the promotion of youth associations and the relationship and communication between youth organizations and entities between associations and the promotion of activities participatory and the proposal to the government-favoring objective measures described. Autonomic platform that brings together organizations that fight HIV / AIDS in our islands.
The platform consists of Ben Amics, ALAS, CJIB, Creu Roja Joventut, Escola de Sida, Metges del Món i Siloé.
Consell de participació de les Dones de les Illes Balears
The "Consell de les Dones" is formed by women's associations in different areas with different needs, areas of interest and activities. We are united in determination to change the precarious situation faced by women in areas such as occupation, education, violence, health, reconciliation, care for dependents people... Our goal is to raise awareness, stimulate, advise in front of the Administration, the social needs of women, be present in decision-making, make them listen to our demands and claims, promote and enhance participation of women in development political, social, occupational, economic and cultural.
Consell Municipal de Dones i per a la Igualtat.
The Consell de Dones i per la Igualtat de Palma is an active participation part of all existing associations and institutions in Palma who're working for women equality in the public life and in the areas of decision making.
